Summary: Beaver Lakes is a forest road south of Leadville that follows Empire Gulch. It is access for the Beaver Lakes subdivision and connects over to Dry Union Gulch and the Dry Union, FR111, forest road.

Camping: There are no dispersed campsites along the road.
Base Camp: Not a good area to base camp as there is a lot of private land in the area.
Fall Colors: Poor - There are no aspen groves along the road.
Navigation: From Leadville, CO head south south on Harrison Ave toward W 8th Street for 0.5 miles. Continue onto US-24 E/Silver Drive for 7.1 miles. Turn left onto County Road 10/County Road 7 and go 0.10 mile. Turn left onto Empire Valle Drive and go 1.80 miles. The road will cross onto public lands.

From Buena Vista, CO head north on US-24 W toward W Sterling Ave for 26.7 miles. Turn right onto County Road 10/County Road 7 and go 0.10 mile. Turn left onto Empire Valle Drive and go 1.80 miles. The road will cross onto public lands.
History:  
Description:
Starting from Empire Valley Drive, County Road 52, you will continue on the graded gravel road for 1.10 miles following below a ridge on your left. Once you cross a cattle guard and a private driveway you will be off of public lands. If you continue on Empire Valley Drive through the subdivision you can make a connection with Dry Union, FR111, which loops back to County Road 7.
