History:
Description:
Starting from the Smith Mesa, BLM2759, road there are two ways up onto Mount Bross. This description will go up the first road, harder, and down the second, which is easier. The first road will climb up onto a ridge as a two track and go under a power line. The road will continue up along the ridge following the power line.

The road will turn and drop down along some aspens crossing a low saddle before heading back up Mount Bross.

The road will then head up the final steep climb onto Mount Bross following the power line.

Once on top the two track will be more defined as it goes north and south. Head south to go out to the point above Hot Sulphur Springs. The road will run along the top of the Mount Bross ridge with trees on the east side and bare grass land on the west side. You will drop down to a lower point on the ridge and come to the end of the road where a communications tower sits. From here head back the way you came to the previous intersection where you came up and continue north.

The road will go a short distance passing through some aspens before dropping down into a saddle. Their will be a large intersection here. The road going to the right and up hill is BLM27592, which goes up to the top of the official Mount Bross on topo maps, though it is not the highest point on the ridge. The road will go to a open area where logging has been done. BLM27592 is suppose to cross the top and then head back west and connect with BLM27591, but the logging has blocked this route and it has become faded with lack of use. Back down at the intersection take the left, or down hill road to stay on BLM27592. The road will head down through aspen trees, cross a low ridge and then connect back into the Smith Mesa, BLM2759, road.
