Description:
Starting from the Owl Creek, FR792, road you will head up a ridge on Owl Mountain between No Name Creek on your left and Mill Creek on your right. The road will be a well used two track that heads into the pines.

You will come to a switchback that takes you back east. As yo come around you will have a rock outcrop to get over that is a bit rough. After crossing the outcrop the road will come to another switchback as you continue to climb.

There will be two more switchbacks and then the road will take a direct route up the ridge to the top of the Owl Mountain ridge. You will finally come out onto the saddle between high point of Owl Mountain and the Owl Mountain Lookout where a communication tower is. The road you intersect with is the Owl Mountain Lookout, FR791, road. A left will take you toward the larger high point of Owl Mountain. The right will go a short distance to the communication tower.
