Description: | |||||||||||||||
Village Belle connects Highway 127 with Medicine Bow, FR516. Starting from the east end where the Village Belle road leaves the Medicine Bow road you will be on a wide two track that heads toward Village Belle Creek.
You will come to an intersection with FR205 on your left. This is a 1.1 mile spur road that heads west along a flat area above Village Belle Creek. Staying right you will come to another intersection. The road to the right is FR213.2A which heads down to Village Belle Creek passing a possible dispersed campsite and then connecting with the Medicine Bow 4WD road. Stay to the left and the road will follow above Village Belle Creek as it heads to the west.
You will come to another intersection with a short spur road that goes to a dispersed campsite on your right. Head left to continue down the valley. You will pass some open areas off to your right and then cross out of the public lands (no sign). The road will continue through some small aspen groves mixed in the pine forest before coming out into an open area, making a switchback, and connecting with Highway 127. |
