From Saguache, CO head west on CO-114 W/Gunnison Ave toward 9th Street. Continue to follow CO-114 W for 35.7 miles. Turn left onto County Rd 17 GG and go 5.3 miles. Turn left onto County Rd NN 14 and go 1.1 miles. Turn right onto County Rd 17FF and go 8.5 miles. At the Y take the right road and go 1.57 miles to an intersection. The road to the left is Chimney.

The two track is a bit rocky here as it climbs up between the pine forests. You will quickly come to an intersection to the left, which is the Chimney Gulch, FR743, road. Stay to the right and climb up the hill. At the top is another intersectin that also connects to FR743. The road will now cross a large open meadow. This is the valley for the Little North Fork of Saguache Creek. You will head southwest and then cross the Little North Fork of Saguache Creek, probably dry most of the time. Here you will come to two intersections on the right that join. This is FR777.1A, which heads back to the Horse Canyon, FR745, road. After crossing the faint creek you will come to three roads to the left that all connect. This is FR777.1B, which will head east along the south ridge of the Little North Fork of Saguache Creek. It will end at a high point overlooking the valley. Staying to the right you will go another 0.85 miles where the road will intersect with FR776.
