Description: | |||||||||||||||
Sawmill Gulch is a connection road from County Rd 95, the Sawmill Road, to the accessible north end of Switzerland Trail. At County Rd 95 you will head east along a section of private property and pass by a private residence. The road is an easy two track that goes through the scattered stands of pine trees. At the first intersection you can head left, FR461.1A, or right, FR461.1. They both reconnect on the east side of the small rise in front of you. The loop road, FR461.1A has steep climbs on both ends where it connects with FR461.1. It quickly climbs to the top of a small hill.
Past where the roads come back together you will head into a heavier stand of trees and then turn to the southeast. Here the road will go down hill and connect with the Switzerland Trail. This last down hill section may be rough depending on the rutting that may have occured. |
