Camping: | There are two dispersed campsites along the main Willow Creek road. The side roads may have other sites. | ||||||||||||||
Base Camp: | This would be a good area to base camp. There are other 4WD roads and motorized trails in the area. There is quick access to South Fork. | ||||||||||||||
Fall Colors: | Good - The middle section of the road passes through a few aspen groves. | ||||||||||||||
Navigation: | From South Fork, CO. head east on US-160 E for 2.0 miles. Turn right onto Wen Dar Drive and go 2.5 miles. Turn right onto the Willow Creek road. |

Willow Creek is a two track road that runs along a ridge below Del Norte Peak. The majority of the road travels through pine forest and open meadow. The road is a single lane two track with sections that are wider where vehicles can pass. You will pass two intersections, the first for FR350.1A which drops down to the trail head for FT933. The second intersection is with FR350.2B which connects back to Del Norte Peak, FR345. The middle section of the road follows Willow Creek toward its start below Del Norte Peak. You will climb up a set of switchback over a ridge to drop down a hill and connect with Cross Creek, FR359. |
